Liver Treatments

Liver treatments, including a variety of preventive measures, and therapies, are available for liver diseases, liver problems and liver conditions. When a liver problem is suspected, doctors will investigate the risk factors, symptoms, as well as conduct a physical examination to evaluate the potential for a liver problem. If the a  liver problem or liver disease is confirmed through diagnostic tests such as a liver function test, diagnostic imaging tests or through a liver biopsy, doctors will advise patients on what the best course of treatment to take is. In some cases, preventive measures such as a vaccine for hepatitis A or hepatitis B is recommended to prevent the transmission of the hepatitis virus.
